Attractions in surroundings
The hotel is located in the very heart of Kraków and many places of interest are within walking distance. In less than 10 minutes you can get to the Main Market Square and see St. Mary’s Basilica with the 15th century Gothic altar, a masterpiece carved by an artist from Nuremberg, Veit Stoss. Every hour a bugle call sounds from the tower of the Basilica and you can see the golden trumpet high above your heads as the melody calls.
While in Kraków, you mustn’t miss a visit to the Royal Castle of Wawel with its Cathedral, armoury, treasury, the Sigismund Bell and the royal tombs.
The old Jewish district Kazimierz, again some 10 minutes away on foot, offers a different sort of distraction with its labyrinthine streets, its hidden jewels of artsy cafes and cosy restaurants, and above all the beautifully restored synagogues.
