Gródek Restaurant

On the site of the medieval city defense walls, the tenement house at 4 Na Gródku street is home not only to the luxury Hotel Gródek but also to an exquisite restaurant: the Gródek Restaurant.

If you haven’t been here already, by all means do come by! The rich and refined Polish cuisine together with a cosy intimate ambiance and our attentive staff are there to provide a remarkable experience for your senses.

We serve, among others, Italian wines Tagliolo, French Coste Rousse and Hungarian Tokaj, imported exclusively for Donimirski Boutique Hotels.

Head Chef

Chef Daniel Buszta is an experienced chef specialising in Polish, Italian and French cuisine.

Interior

The excellent cuisine is not all that the Restaurant has to offer: its rooms become very functional when it comes to organising events. Thanks to flexible seating arrangements and the availability of professional conference equipment, we can host business meetings, family reunions, conferences, trainings and even concerts.

The Restaurant has two rooms; the main room has the capacity of 50 sq m (538 sq ft) and the museum room measures 25 sq m (270 sq ft). The latter room displays archaeological artifacts from the 12th and 13th centuries, and meetings up to 20 people can take place there.

The Library Bar

The Library Bar can be best described as an oasis. You are welcome to sink into one of our cosy armchairs and browse newspapers while nursing a cup of fine Italian coffee. On cold winter evenings you can savour the captivating charm of a real fireplace. For those who enjoy a cigar, the library bar is a haven, and there is no drink our bartenders won’t make for you. If you are a bookworm, feel free to explore the literature nested on shelves surrounding the room.

Meetings up to 15 people can be organised in here.

Terrace

There is even more to the Restaurant. A lift rises four floors up to the terrace, with a view few places in Kraków offer. Out in the open air, sitting comfortably among flowers basking in the sun, you can watch the roofs and spires of the Old Town at an arm’s length.

In the summer and early autumn the terrace welcomes those who want to hold meetings among the clouds.

Concerts

The autumn of 2011 saw the beginning of a new tradition at the Gródek in the form of small jazz concerts. Waldemar Gołębski, acting both as the artistic supervisor and performing himself, invites various artists thus creating a diverse jazz project each time under the auspices of NiteLine Jazz. The events have a cosy and intimate character not only due to the music genre in question but also because of the artists themselves. What matters here is not their popularity on the market but their skills in the difficult art of jazz music. The Gródek is proud to host the less known artists even at the cost of staying away from the jazz mainstream in Kraków.
